Last week there was a note in Nye's classroom noting there had been a case of pinkeye. Sure enough, he woke up with goopy eyes on Tuesday and was thrilled to have to see the doctor. He's on antibiotic eyedrops for the next seven days. Despite the goopy eyes, it was a great day: Nye wore his "cowboy" shirt and his favorite shorts, we bought a new/used bouncy seat for Cal (he broke it last week) and visited the shoe store where Nye got some fancy red tennis shoes and two cool pairs of sandals. After nap time Nye rode his bike and tested out his new red shoes. It was a good day.
Last night, Cal spent much of the night coughing, but woke up happy and ready for school.
We got the weekend off to a good start with some tummy time for Cal who is not quite sitting on his own, but seems eager to crawl (but won't for some time). We decided to move the activities to a quilt to prevent Cal from ingesting hair from one of our four cats. Nye decided to join in on the fun.
