Keeping with tradition, we went to our annual neighborhood parade this morning. Unlike most Fourth of July holidays, it was very wet and rainy. The boys watched the parade from their wagon. The firetruck was by far their favorite part of the parade. Runners up included the huge boat, the motorcycles and any float with people throwing candy. Mommy enjoyed the antique cars with the antique ladies riding along and waving their flags (these little old ladies were so cute and seemed to be taking a ride down memory lane).
We followed up the parade with brunch with Nye's best pal Charlie.
There are fireworks downtown tonight, but they don't start until 9:30 -- too late for our little guys. Maybe next year we'll make a go of it .
